Joules to Calories
Translate your energy burn into Food Calories.
Understanding Nutrients
Many international labels indicate the energy value of the product in Joules, which is the official measure of energy in the world of Physics. But for diet purposes, we count \"Calories\" (Cal). The chemical rule states thatto generate just 1 Calorie, it is necessary to spend exactly 4.184 Joules of energy.
Diet Calculation
If you read that your body burned 5,000 Joules in a workout and want to know if you can eat a piece of bread without gaining weight, divide the value by 4.184.
Example: 5000 Joules ÷ 4.184 = You spent 1.195 Calories (and earned the dinner).
