13th Salary Calculator
Find out the value of the 1st and 2nd installment of the proportional thirteenth.
The Christmas bonus
Created in Brazil in the 1960s, the Thirteenth (13th) Salary is a right of all CLT workers. Since the year has 52 weeks and we receive pay for 4 weeks per month, mathematically there is 'an extra month' of work in the year, which is compensated with this extra salary at the end of the year.
The two installments
- First Installment (By November 30):It corresponds to 50% of the gross amount proportional to the months you worked. There are no tax deductions on it, so you receive it 'full'.
- Second Installment (Until December 20):It is the remaining half, but it is in it that the Government deducts all the INSS and Income Tax from the full 13th salary at once. That is why the second installment is always much smaller than the first.
