How does Mathematics work?
The calculation first takes all the money the project earned and subtracts all the money you spent to get the project up and running. This will give you the Net Profit of the operation. Then, it divides this profit by the initial investment.
If the result of your ROI isnegative, it means that the investment did not pay off and caused a loss. If the ROI iszero, you just got back the money you spent (broke even). If it werepositive, congratulations: you turned money into more money!
